My post below is showing as if I have posted about 1-1-11 on 31-12-10 itself-its again a confusion depending on which side of date line we live.

A new day has come which we will write as 1-1-11 no matter you are a DD/MM/YY or MM/DD/YY follower.Living in the South pacific,closer to the international date line has an advantage of being one among few million people on earth to welcome the new year before the rest of the world. Except for the fact that we follow a calendar which has only 12 months and all the 12 months of this cycle are over and we are restarting the cycle, I hardly see any specialty about Jan 1st ( midnight of Dec31 st).May be because I am one among those few billion people who have seen transition of a Millennium in my life time, this change of year is sometime I am feeling as a common thing happening every 365 days. I am seeing in TV today about hundreds of thousands of tourists flocking and trying to get a prime spot to get the spectacular view of the firework show at the Harbour Bridge , Thousands of people gathered at Time Square in the west and Dataran Merdeka in the east and any other important spots of

How gifted we are for living in our own land or on a land we preferred to live for seeking employment,for having better living standards,for studies and for doing business. It is painful to be forcibly migrated to another land as a result of wars,natural calamities and living there as a refugee and to seek asylum as the living conditions in one's own land is not congenial.
